Monday’s In Focus featured guests from Sunset Zoo in the first half, with our friends from the Manhattan Public Library and Konza Rotary Club’s Community Action Against Human Trafficking (CAAHT) group in the latter half.

The show started with Zoo Marketing and Development Officer Melissa Kirkwood and Curator of Education Jared Bixby. Bixby in the first segment discussed the zoo’s educational opportunities and the upcoming Science Fest on April 30. Kirkwood in the second segment discussed the recent unveiling of Expedition Asia and upcoming Mothers Day Activities.

Library Head of Community Engagement Maddy Ogle, Book Sale Co-Chair and MLA Board Member Annie Cook, and MPL Board of Trustees President Elaine Shannon discussed the library’s annual book sale coming up Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The show closed with a preview by Usha Reddi and Sharon Sullivan of the Rotary CAAHT’s free virtual human trafficking summit coming up Thursday.
