Monday’s In Focus featured guests from the Sunset Zoo, Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as a candidate for Pottawatomie County Commission.
The first half of the program featured Sunset Zoo Marketing and Development Officer Melissa Kirkwood. She talked about the Zoo’s Memorial Day hours as well as the upcoming Wine in the Wild program and a special birthday party for 68-year-old chimp Susie.
Manhattan VFW Post 1786 Commander Dan Watkins joined the show in segment 3 to discuss their plans for Memorial Day, which include a flag placement on Saturday May 28 and flag retirement ceremony on Memorial Day.
The program ended with an interview of Pottawatomie County Commission Candidate Hans Tessman, seeking the GOP nomination for the district 1 seat.
Tuesday’s edition of In Focus will feature guests from Pottawatomie County.
