A Fort Riley man was taken into police custody late Thursday evening, accused of using a fictitious or revoked driver’s license to purchase liquor while underage.
19-year-old Joseph Hawthorne was arrested by Riley County Police just before midnight in the 1200 block of Moro Street. Police allege that Hawthorne, in addition to the alcohol charges, resisted arrest and also faces a charge of battery of a law enforcement officer.
Hawthorne was issued a 3 thousand dollar bond and was confined to the Riley County Jail as of Friday’s report.
