Community HealthCare System to close regional clinics early for phone upgrades

0
By KMAN Staff on August 9, 2022 Local News, Pottawatomie County

Community HealthCare System, which operates health clinics across rural northeast Kansas will be upgrading phone systems at all locations between Aug. 11 and Aug. 19.

Upgrades will largely happen after hours, but some of the locations will be closing early as a result on those days.

The company says the Westmoreland Clinic will be the first location to be upgraded. They’ll close at 3 p.m. Thursday. The Frankfort Clinic will close at 3 p.m. Monday for upgrades.

Other closures include:

  • Centralia Clinic and Eastridge: Aug. 15. Clinic hours will not be affected. Eastridge phones will be down from approximately 5 to 9 p.m. CHS says if you need to reach someone at Eastridge during this time, call 785-294-0551.
  • Holton Family Health Center: Aug. 16. The clinic and specialty clinic will close at 3 p.m. Lab and Radiology will be unavailable, but Therapy will remain open.
  • St. Marys Family Health Center and St. Marys Manor: Aug. 17. The clinic will close at 3:00 p.m. and will not hold evening hours. Lab and Radiology will be unavailable, but Therapy will remain open. St. Marys Manor phone will be down approximately 3 to 6 p.m. CHS says if you need to reach someone at the Manor during this time, call 785-207-4446 or 785-207-9146.
  • Onaga Clinic, Hospital: Aug. 18 & Aug. 19. This is a two-day process because of the large number of phones. The clinic will close at 3:00 on Thursday, August 18. Clinic and Hospital phones will be upgraded first, and that process is planned to be completed by around 12 midnight. CHS says hospital and emergency department phones will be down for approximately two hours on Aug. 18, but a single-line phone will be available for emergencies at 785-889-5001.
