Kansas State visit recap from elite 2025 wideout Isaiah Mozee

Recruiting starts earlier and earlier. Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman and company have had to follow that blueprint as well, especially on the local scene. That’s what they geared the weekend towards when they hosted Missouri for the first time in 11 years.

It was dedicated to more of the high school underclassmen.

Kansas State offered a 2025 Lee’s Summit North wide receiver in April. His name is Isaiah Mozee and he was one of the many standouts from the state of Missouri that was in Manhattan to see the Wildcats blast the Tigers.

“We got there and we ate breakfast,” Mozee said. “We measured our height and weight, went out to the field to watch pregame and then went to our seats. K-State had a fun environment, nice facilities and a great staff. It seems like K-State was every well-coached. It was a good visit.”

If the name Mozee sounds familiar, that’s because Kansas State used to have current Miami (Ohio) running back Keyon Mozee on their own roster before he elected to transfer. The Wildcats signed Isaiah’s cousin out of high school and he played the 2020 season in Manhattan.

That provided K-State a chance to show Mozee the campus many times before they even formally began recruiting him.

“My cousin use to go there,” the Lee’s Summit North wideout shared. “He transferred, but i have been to games and junior days. He said it was a great program.”

As a high school sophomore, college coaches are not allowed to have direct contact with Mozee yet. However, he has still racked up 16 Power Five offers dating back to Summer of 2021. He will be in the conversation as the best player in the ShowMe state for his class.

Of places he’s either visited or plans to go see, he mentioned “Oklahoma, Oregon, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Kansas, K-State, Mizzou , Arkansas, Iowa and Iowa State.” Notre Dame, Georgia, Michigan and Texas A&M are other notable programs that have offered.
