    Friday’s edition of In Focus featured a full slate of guests.

    The program opened with Extension Director Gary Fike, who talked new council members for the organization as well as their VITA free tax preparation program and February’s Rural Revitalization Conference.

    Seniors’ Service Center Director Liz Nelson unveiled the new name for the organization, that being the Manhattan Senior Center. Nelson also highlighted Christmas hours, January programs, Chuck Henry shared info on their AARP tax prep services, and Nelson also previewed Friday’s Lights of Remembrance event.

    DMI Exec. Director Gina Snyder invited the public to Friday’s dining platform holiday lighting competition awards as well as the wrap up of the 12 Drinks of Christmas and the end of holiday carriage rides.

    The program ended with VFW Post 1786 Commander Dan Watkins and Pearce Keller American Legion Post 17 Commander Keith Coleman previewing Saturday’s Wreaths Across America observance at 11 a.m. in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery on Wildcat Drive.
