Hundreds of community members gathered inside the Manhattan Conference Center Friday for the 98th Annual Chamber of Commerce Meeting and Celebration.
This year, the chamber had lots to celebrate after 2022 delivered some record breaking statistics.
Chamber President and CEO Jason Smith highlighted some of those numbers.
2022 Chamber Board Chair Summer Ott Dierks said one of last year’s most impactful decisions was diversifying their board. The chamber also furthered diversity efforts by creating the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
During the ceremony, Ott Dierks handed over the reins as board chair to Mark Knackendoffel, but she said it was an honor to spend the year working towards a better Manhattan and a better future for generations to come.
Knackendoffel said after such a significant year, he is excited for 2023 and to continue furthering Manhattan and creating a town where everyone can thrive.
