    Auston Korszeniewski, 25, of Manhattan was arrested on June 14, 2023, around 2:45 p.m. on his four Riley County District Court warrants all for violation of court orders. These warrants stem from original charges of criminal use of a financial card, theft, theft by deception, driving while suspended, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal use of a weapon, obstruction, and flee and elude. Korszeniewski remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $50,000.

    Jose Torres, 54, of Manhattan was arrested on June 14, 2023, around 7:00 p.m. on his Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated battery, transporting an open container, failure to stop at an accident, passing with insufficient clearance and driving with no license. This warrant stems from a March 24, 2023, crash near the intersection of E. Marlatt Ave. and Brookepointe Cir. in Manhattan around 8:45 p.m. It was reported that Torres left the scene of the crash after his 2007 Chevrolet van crossed the center line of E. Marlatt while traveling west and hit Jesus Maldonado, 60, of Manhattan who was driving his 2002 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound. A passenger of the Silverado, Juan Maldonado, 31, of Manhattan was trapped in the passenger side and was transported to Via Christi after being extricated by EMS and Fire personnel for treatment of a broken wrist and other cuts, scrapes, and bruises. Officers also found an open container of alcohol in the unoccupied van when they arrived on scene. Torres was issued a total bond of $15,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 1200 block of Moro St. in Manhattan on June 15, 2023, around 1:30 a.m. O’Malleys Alley was listed as the victim when it was reported a 22-year-old man shattered the glass front door to the business. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $800.

    Charles Kendrick, 38, of Manhattan was arrested on June 15, 2023, around 2:15 a.m. after officers conducted a traffic stop on his van near the intersection of S. Manhattan Ave. and Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan and found opiate pills and meth in the van. He was arrested for possession of meth and possession of an opiate. He was also arrested on his Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear stemming from an original parking violation. Kendrick remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $6,065.
