A Riley County man appeared in court today in relation to a pair of charges involving a May 2021 incident where he was accused of sexual battery towards an unnamed victim.

Martin Vogts has been charged with aggravated sexual battery and aggravated battery. He had previously pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Vogts and his attorney Barry Clark appeared via Zoom before Judge Grant Bannister on Monday to set up a jury trial which is expected to begin in early-October.

A pre-trial has been set for the end of September as well.
