A former USD 383 preschool nurse will be in Riley County District Court on Thursday to be sentenced after pleading guilty to child sex crimes.
Joshua Penabaz, 45, plead guilty to two counts of indecent liberties with a child back in April before Judge Kendra Lewison.
According to Deputy Riley County Attorney Trinity Muth, both charges come under Jessica’s Law.
The charges could carry a maximum sentence of life in prison and a minimum sentence of 25 years with no possibility of parole.
The hearing will begin at 2 pm in Judge Lewison’s courtroom.
