Donald Robinson, 68, of Wamego was arrested on July 5, 2023, around 4:00 p.m. on his Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from an original charge of attempted possession of an opiate. Robinson remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $10,000.
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near mile marker 186 on Fort Riley Blvd. (K18) on July 5, 2023, around 8:00 p.m. After arriving on scene, officers found a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by Charles Danley, 27, of Fort Riley had passed a 2016 Ram 1500 driven Herbert Havens, 19, of Zanesville, Ohio on the shoulder while driving westbound causing the two vehicles to collide. The Ram then slid off the road into a guard rail. A female passenger of the Ram was transported to Via Christi for treatment of neck pain. Danley was issued a citation for improper driving on a laned roadway and reckless driving.
