ESPN reports ACC leaders are expected to begin “exploratory” discussions this week on the potential additions of Cal and Stanford to the conference. The pair of schools are currently in the Pac-12 with Oregon State and Washington State.

Amidst the mess of realignment, one question has loomed: why doesn’t college football have someone overseeing it beyond conference commissioners? Former Big 12 chief Bob Bowlsby.
