The Riley County Police Department is investigating a pair of burglaries involving the theft of firearms.
Just after 12:30 a.m. Friday a 19-year-old man reported his Glock 17 9 millimeter handgun was stolen from his vehicle in the Aggieville area. The total loss was around $600. The gun was later recovered at Tubby’s Sports Bar.
Police also say a 21-year-old man reported his Stag Arms AR15 was stolen Thursday morning from his home in the 1800 block of Anderson Ave. The home was unoccupied at the time. The estimated total loss is around $2,000.
