Riley County Police are investigating a past burglary incident in Manhattan.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Jared Petty Wednesday on two counts each of burglary and attempted burglary in connection to four June 2 incidents in the 20 block of Waterway Place involving theft of cash from two separate cars. Police allege Petty attempted to burglarize two other vehicles as well.
In addition, officers arrested Petty on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Petty remains jailed on a $12,750 bond.
