    City officials reviewed changes to pet policies, etc.

    The Manhattan City Commission reviewed changes to animal ordinances at Tuesday’s work session as the city prepares to transition shelter services to nonprofit Prairie Paws.

    At issue are some changes to licenses and compliance fees for pet owners. Prairie Paws Executive Director Vanessa Cowie,

    Commissioners gave consensus to move forward with the changes presented. Commissioner Wynn Butler,

    City staff will come back next month with resolutions to update ordinances. Prairie Paws will assume shelter services beginning in January
