    MHS girls finish second at 6A regional tournament

    Manahattan HIgh’s girls golf team finished with four players in the top 10, netting a second place finish as a team in the 6A Regional Tournament at Topeka’s Cypress Ridge.

    The Indians finished 4 strokes off the winning pace of Olathe Northwest with a 335, paced by Lily Bahr’s 81, good for third place.

    Kat Ball finished fifth with an 83, Kaitlyn Lagabed was two strokes back with an 85, gaining seventh place and Emily Wuggazer shot an 86 to finish 10th.

    The 6A State Tournament will be played next Monday and Tuesday at Emporia Golf Club.

    At the 4A Regional at Wamego, the Red Raiders took first on their home course, finishing 11 strokes better than Hayden. Addison Douglass claimed individual medalist honors with Sara Springer finishing sixth.
