The USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden School Board reviewed the annual fall enrollment report Wednesday.

Assistant Superintendent Nathan Downs says the district has seen an increase in students from the previous school year.

The school district has seen about a 0.7% increase in students from last school year.
Downs says that the distribution of students in the individual schools within the district is pretty even, saying that one of the elementary schools was an outlier, adding just one student from last year.
Downs said that there was also a minor increase in students at the middle school and high school level as well as in their early childhood program which saw a major increase in enrollment.

Manhattan High has 1,988 students, an increase of 36 from last year. The middle schools added 19 students, while the elementary had a net gain of one, and now has 3,000 students. Early learning added 71 students, for a total of 547.

Marlatt and Amanda Arnold Elementary continue to be the most populated elementary schools, while Ogden and Woodrow Wilson Elementary continue to have the smallest student populations. Full data tables are shared below.

Also on Wednesday, the school board approved an expansion of the parking lot at Manhattan High by a vote of 5-0 and honored a few students including Logan Brooks who is working towards becoming an Eagle Scout who collected over 70 boxes of supplies and over $1,800 cash donated this summer for a project he was working on.

The school board will hold its next meeting on Oct. 18.
