    Adamchak, McCulloh, Oppelt and Matta elected to Manhattan City Commission; Hatesohl defeated

    There will be three new faces on the Manhattan City Commission in the new year.

    Susan Adamchak, Karen McCulloh and Peter Oppelt all won election to the commission Tuesday night. Incumbent John Matta won re-election. Adamchak was the top vote getter Tuesday night.

    McCulloh is no stranger to the city commission. She finished in second place and receives a third stint on the commission. She shared her priorities moving forward.

    Both Adamchak and McCulloh won four year terms.

    Oppelt and Matta finished third and fourth in voting, with each receiving two year terms. Matta spoke about his desire to continue attracting business to Manhattan.

    Oppelt spoke about making the body more transparent and open to the public.

    Voters did not retain Mayor Mark Hatesohl who finished in fifth place.
