With a busy tourism calendar for the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex set for next summer, the Big 12 reportedly is looking westward for its football media event.

Big 12 football media days in 2024 & 2025 is moving to Las Vegas, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ, because of scheduling conflicts at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Host sites being considered in Las Vegas are the Sphere, Allegiant Stadium or an MGM property, sources said

Globe Life Field, where the Big 12 plays its conference baseball tournament, is set to serve as the host of MLB’s All-Star Game, with events starting July 14th and the game on July 16th.  That stadium is located down the street from AT&T Stadium, impacting multiple availabilities.

The SEC has its football media days scheduled in Dallas between July 15th and 18th, as well. That conference elected to move its media days to the Omni Hotel with the additions of Oklahoma and Texas to its stable starting next fall.
