The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce has launched a new loan program designed to support small business growth in the Manhattan area in 2024.

The new Elevate Micro-Loan Program enables entrepreneurs to have access to small loans up to $15,000 with 4% interest rates and 36-month repayment to qualifying businesses in the city limits of Manhattan. President of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce Jason Smith breaks down some of the specific financial details worked out with the City Commission:

According to Smith, NetWork Kansas has backed Manhattan thanks to the community showing financial dedication towards the development of new local businesses. In doing so, they are also providing backing to Manhattan for their new pilot program.

Smith also notes the importance of being recognized as a community that promotes local businesses:

All of these programs are running through the Spark MHK ecosystem, which is a 501(c)3 organization designed to improve the small-business environment in Manhattan through entrepreneurship training, business recognition, and other outreach programs.
