    2:45 p.m. Tuesday update

A statewide system was said to be back up and running this afternoon but officials in Pottawatomie County say they are still unable to process new driver’s license and motor vehicle licenses.

The issue was from the Kansas Department of Revenue, impacting all counties statewide. County Treasurer Lisa Wright noted to KMAN that their systems were still down as of 2:30 p.m., despite the Department of Revenue systems being back online. Wright says she wasn’t sure if the issue was still impacting any of the other affected counties.

It’s unclear how long the issue may continue to impact their services.

Officials are asking folks to call the Treasurer’s Office at 785-457-3681 before driving out to Westmoreland for services.

We will continue to provide updates at NewsRadioKMAN.com.

    Original story 11 a.m. Tuesday

The Pottawatomie County Treasurer’s Office has issued a statement following a technical issue today that has taken a number of state-wide information systems offline:

“The Kansas Department of Revenue is having technical issues with their system which is affecting all counties statewide.

The Pottawatomie County Treasurer’s Office is not able to process any motor vehicle or driver’s license transactions of any kind until the issue is resolved.”

News Radio KMAN will continue to provide updates as the technical outage develops.
