    St. Thomas Ladies host 33rd annual Cookie Carousel

    The St. Thomas More Catholic Church Ladies held their 33rd annual Cookie Carousel on Saturday.
    The event, which happened in the main gymnasium at the church and saw several pounds of cookies and other treats sold, all in the name of charity.
    Co-Chair Joan Krush spoke about the event.

    Krush says that money raised from the event will mainly go towards Good Shepherd Homecare and Hospice. Residents who attended Saturday’s event also had a choice of selecting another community organization to support.

    Co-Chair Rebecca Gould, who has participated in the event since the 1st Cookie Carousel, spoke about how the event has changed since they first began the event in 1991.

    Gould also spoke about her mouse cookies that she brought to the event.

    The event sold out for the first time in its 33 year history. Over the years, the St. Thomas More Ladies have raised close to $80,000 from the Cookie Carousel.
