Business leaders from across the region are convening Friday in Manhattan for the annual Flint Hills Regional Leaders Retreat.
The retreat was for years held in Kansas City, but since the COVID-19 pandemic, has shifted to a single day event hosted at the Manhattan Conference Center. Chamber President Jason Smith says this has been met with great response, with this year’s attendance hovering around 250 attendees.
Smith also discusses the importance of business innovation post-Covid.
The retreat highlights keynote speakers brought in to discuss a range of business topics, professional networking opportunities, and presentations from the Manhattan, Junction City, and Wamego Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation, Flint Hills Regional Council, and Manhattan Airport.
