The Manhattan Lions Club held its annual biscuits and gravy breakfast at the College Avenue United Methodist Church Saturday.
The event raised around $2,000 and saw a large turnout as the group accepted donations for four different charities. Club president Diana Chapel spoke about the different charities that proceeds would be going towards.
The group also auctioned off a K-State quilt at Saturday’s breakfast with the proceeds from the auction going towards KSDS Assistance Dogs.
The biscuits and gravy breakfast is one of several events held throughout the year by the Lions Club, which also hosts a pancake breakfast in the fall.
