    Manhattan Mercury hosts annual 60 in 60 leadership event

Klieman and five other speakers — Callie Marks, executive vice president and attorney at Charlson and Wilson Bonded Abstracters; Dave Dreiling, owner of Booth Creek Wagyu; Karla Hagemeister, Flint Hills Breadbasket executive director; former state Rep. Tom Phillips; and Lisa Sisley, co-founder of New Boston Creative Group — each offered 10 pieces of advice on leadership, adding up to 60 ideas in 60 minutes.     Leadership ideas were shared Wednesday in the annual 60 in 60 event, hosted by the Manhattan Mercury at the Manhattan Conference Center.
    Six panelists of local celebrities provided 10 leadership ideas they’ve developed over time. The featured guest speaker was K-State head football coach Chris Klieman, who shared his thoughts on what it takes to be a leader.

    Flint Hills Breadbasket Executive Director Karla Hagemeister serves on the Manhattan-Ogden USD 383 school board. She explains how she used leadership skills during her tenure as board president during the pandemic.
