    Man dies after being ejected from UTV

    A man has died as a result of injuries suffered Saturday night in a utility terrain vehicle crash in Wabaunsee County.

    Ray G. Palenske, 74, of Lenexa was indetified as the victim, and the driver Brian Palenske, of Basehor, was reportedly uninjured.

    According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, a UTV was traveling in a field on private property at the time of the crash.

    The patrol said the crash happened when the driver lost control and rolled the UTV, neither person in the UTV was wearing a safety restraint.

    The passenger was ejected and died at the scene due to his injuries.

    The crash was reported at 9 p.m. Saturday in a field at 28502 Loire Creek Road. The location is about 2 miles west of Alma.
