    Manhattan’s Juneteenth celebration to be held this weekend

    Manhattan will be hosting its 35th annual Juneteenth celebration this weekend beginning with the Fashion Show at the Manhattan Arts Center on Thursday at 6 pm.
    Juneteenth Planning Committee chair Jurdene Coleman explained more about the show during an interview on KMAN’s In Focus.

    Coleman says that the fashion show will be focused on showing how black culture has influenced fashion throughout the decades.

    Coleman spoke more about the barbeque, which would include prizes for the first and second place winners.

    Activities continue Saturday with the Unity Walk down Yuma Street and festivities at Douglass Park.
