A man was killed on Saturday after a crash into a home in Manhattan.
Officers responded to the scene in the 1100 block of Yuma Street after the driver lost their control of their vehicle and crashed into a home, driving through the residence and then into another home where it struck a 23-year-old male who was sleeping in his bed. The driver, who’s identity is yet to be revealed, was killed. A female passenger was also in the vehicle but she is reportedly fine.
The victim was trapped underneath the car but was extracted from under the vehicle and taken to Via Christi for non-life threatening injuries and then later Stormont Vail for advanced treatment. Officers do confirm that he was responsive and stable.
