A Colorado woman was sent to the hospital on Sunday after an accident near Highway 24 in Leonardville.
Riley County Police responded to the accident around 4 p.m. to find a two-vehicle accident. Officers reported that a 2016 Dodge Caravan driven by 62-year-old Deanna Currey (Curry) of Riley rounded a corner and was unable to stop before striking the rear of a 2023 Audi driven by 70-year-old Deborah Dugan of Castle Rock, Colorado.
Dugan was transported to Via Christi via EMS for non-life threatening injuries. Currey was issued a citation for following too close.
