    By Annie Wolfe/Pott County Times

Pottawatomie County Commissioners on Monday approved changes to the Unified Development Regulations (UDR) concerning the assigning of Planning Commission members.

With the county commission set to expand from three to five members at the first of the year, the
Planning Commission and the Board of County Commissioners have spent weeks ironing out details
concerning the nomination process of Planning Commission members. Thoughtful consideration was
given to the process to ensure that the Planning Commission will have balanced representation
    throughout the county.

Under the newly amended UDR, Planning Commission members will now have three areas of
    appointment.
