RCPD announced one driver was killed and another was life flighted Thursday afternoon following a rollover accident at the intersection of Seth Child and Anderson.

The crash occurred Thursday around 1:35 p.m. on Anderson Ave. underneath the Seth Child Rd. overpass, which is currently under partial construction.

RCPD officers report a white Honda Civic was eastbound on Anderson when it struck a green Chevy Equinox that was attempting to make a left turn onto Seth Child. The passenger in the Equinox was pronounced dead at Ascension Via Christi. The driver of the Equinox was Life-Flighted to Stormont Vail Medical Center in Topeka and the driver of the Civic was taken via ambulance to Via Christi.

Anderson Ave. at Seth Child Road remains closed while officers process the accident. It is still an open investigation so no other details will be released at the time.
