    Officers filed a report of vehicle burglary in the 100 block of S. Delaware Ave on August 6, 2024, at approximately 7:57 AM.  Officers listed Appletech as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect broke the lock and entered a job site trailer making off with tools, an air compressor, impact drill, trim saw, chargers, skillsaw, sawzall, etc. Total estimated loss is well over $1,000. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of motor vehicle theft on August 6, 2024, at approximately 8:07 AM in the 1100 block of Pioneer Lane.  Officers listed a 21-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her 2005 Dark Green Grand Cherokee was missing from her parking spot. Total estimated loss associated with this report is approximately $5,000.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report of criminal use of a financial card in Manhattan on August 6, 2024, at approximately 12:13 PM.  Officers listed an 86-year-old male and female as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect obtained their card number and used it without permission. Total estimated loss associated with this report is $1005.  Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Latorris Franklin, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested on August 6, 2024, at approximately 2:30 PM in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza. Franklin was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The original charges in this matter were for domestic battery and violation of a protection order. Total bond was at at $10,ooo. Franklin was confined at the time of this report.

    William Pauley, 33, of Topeka, was arrested on August 6, 2024, at approximately 3:05 PM in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road.  Pauly was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for attempted theft of property or services and criminal damage to property. Total bond was set at $5,000. Pauley was confined at the time of this report.
