The Carl R. Ice College of Engineering has received ABET accreditation for three of the college’s undergraduate programs.

The programs to receive this accreditation are biomedical engineering, cybersecurity and environmental engineering after they met the requirements necessary for accreditation which include having the inaugural class of graduates finish each program.

ABET accreditation assures that programs meet standards to produce graduates ready to enter critical technical fields that are leading the way in innovation and emerging technologies and anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public. ABET is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization that currently accredits over 4500 programs at 895 colleges and universities in 40 countries and areas.
