    Gap Goat will return for K-State women in 2024-25

    An (allegedly) vital part of Kansas State women’s basketball’s success last year will return this season.

    Head coach Jeff Mittie on Tuesday announced that Gap Goat — the stuffed animal in a K-State jersey and, occasionally, a chain with a No. 7 pendant — will be on the sideline again in 2024-25, even though his creator and social media specialist has graduated.

    Gap Goat captured fans’ love and national attention last season as a motivator for and celebration of the Wildcats’ improved defense.
