    RCPD investigating theft at local sewing shop

    The Riley County Police Department is investigating a recent theft at was reported Sunday at Weisner’s Sewing Center at approximately 12:30 p.m.

    RCPD officers filed the report of theft by deception in the 300 block of Poyntz Ave. when it was reported a known subject passed a check for two sewing machines that did not clear the bank.

    The total loss associated with the report is $3,384.
