A candidate for the Kansas Senate says he waited too long to remove his name from the ballot and is no longer actively campaigning for office.
Matthew Robin, a Democrat running in Kansas Senate District 18 against State Representative Kenny Titus confirmed the following in an email saying he hasn’t been actively campaigning since late-August.
He did not respond immediately to requests for further comment.
The 18th district encompasses portions of Pottawatomie, Shawnee and Jefferson Counties and has been represented by Republican Kristen O’Shea since 2021. She announced earlier this year she would not run for re-election.
