Kansas State will need all of the help it can get on Saturday to contain the dynamic and prolific Colorado offense led by head coach Deion Sanders, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver and Heisman candidate Travis Hunter.
The good news for the Wildcats is that they’ve remained fairly healthy through five games and six weeks of the regular season, and the K-State defense may get another boost in the return of senior nose tackle Uso Seumalo.
Seumalo, who’s settled into a reserve role behind junior Damian Ilalio, left K-State’s win over Oklahoma State on September 28 with an undisclosed lower-body injury late in the game. Last week, the prognosis on the 6-foot-3, 333-pound Hawaii native was unclear, but as the off week continued, Seumalo moved closer and closer to returning to the field.
