    K-State starts Big 12 slate strong with 70-67 win over No. 16 Cincinnati

    Every appearance shows that Kansas State men’s basketball needs a hyper-engaged Dug McDaniel to avoid the need to dig out of a massive, outer-space-like hole within the 2024-25 basketball season. The interim of Wildcat games 11 and 12 were not the first time McDaniel has been forced into a ‘dig deeper’ challenge from the K-State coaching staff.

    Coach Jerome Tang and staff simply hope it’s the last.

    McDaniel responded from a 5-minute, zero-point outing at Wichita Stage with his most complete effort in a purple uniform in Monday night’s 70-67 win over No. 16 Cincinnati in Bramlage Coliseum.
