    On December 28-29, 2024, the RCPD responded to a variety of incidents across the county:

    Burglary at Prairie View Estates in Ogden

    A burglary was reported at Prairie View Estates, Ogden at 12:42 AM on December 29, 2024. No further details have been provided at this time.

    Child Abuse and Domestic Incidents

    At 5:06 PM on December 28, 2024, police responded to reports of child abuse and a domestic disturbance. No further details have been provided at this time.

    Drug-Related Incidents

    • Walmart, Bluemont Ave, Manhattan (11:09 AM, December 28): Police were called to Walmart in connection with a drug-related incident. Jamal Williams, 47, Wichita, KS was arrested for alleged charges of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, interference with law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, distribution of heroin/fentanyl, and distribution of narcotics. He is being held at the Riley County jail on a total bond of $40,000.
    • 430 Fort Riley Blvd, Manhattan (5:07 PM, December 28): A second drug-related incident was reported later in the day, prompting further investigation by authorities.

    DUI Arrest in Manhattan

    At 2:06 AM on December 29, 2024, a DUI arrest took place at the intersection of Miller Parkway and Fort Riley Blvd. The driver, Marcelo Ballesteros, 52, Ogden, KS, was arrested for suspected driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He is being held at the Riley County jail on a bond of $1,500.

    Larceny Incident in Manhattan

    A larceny was reported at 314 Tuttle Creek Blvd at 3:45 PM on December 28, 2024. No further details are available at this time.
