On Thursday evening at approximately 6:15 PM, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Kansas Highway 209, about two miles east of Woodbine, Kansas.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2011 GMC Acadia driven by Harold F. Hutton, 59, of Henderson, Nevada, was traveling eastbound on K-209 when it failed to stop at a stop sign. Upon entering the intersection, the GMC was struck on the passenger side by a northbound 2013 Ford Fiesta operated by Isaac N. Doolittle, 34, of Manhattan, Kansas. The impact caused both vehicles to veer into the east ditch; the GMC Acadia overturned onto its roof, while the Ford Fiesta remained upright.

Mr. Hutton sustained serious injuries and was transported to Geary County Hospital. His passenger, Heather Britto, 36, of Junction City, Kansas, was uninjured. Mr. Doolittle also reported no injuries.

All individuals involved were confirmed to be wearing safety restraints at the time of the accident.
