Manhattan High girls’ basketball will compete in the championship game of the Mid-America Classic after taking down tournament host McPherson 48-38, in the semifinal on Friday night. The win marked No. 500 over the high school career of head coach Scott Mall.

The Indians (8-3) will look for their first Mid-America Classic title since 2014 on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. against Olathe South. The Bullpups (5-6) with home-court advantage, could not overcome the Manhattan defense which forced 26 turnovers with 17 steals.
