It was a record-setting blizzard for Northeastern Kansas on Sunday.

Snowfall estimates say that Wamego received 17.5 inches of snow, which is the third-most on record for the city behind 20 inches on Feb. 25, 1912 and 2 feet of snow on Feb. 27, 1900.

Manhattan had 14.8 inches, which is the second-most for a single day on record. The most snow in a single day all-time was 18 inches for Manhattan on Feb. 27, 1900.

The last time the Little Apple received over 10 inches of snow was Feb. 5, 2014, when the city was blanketed by 11.2 inches of snow.

Across the region, snow blanketed other towns and cities. Junction City had 16 inches and St. George had 18 inches of snow fall.
