The battle for Big 12 supremacy between the league’s top two scoring teams was a defensive slugfest before Serena Sundell took over.

The senior guard scored 23 of her game-high 27 points in the second half, and No. 12 Kansas State women’s basketball made seven of its last eight shots to topple No. 9 TCU 59-50 Wednesday and claim sole possession of first place in the conference.
