Tens of millions of dollars are at stake in federal spending freeze, but K-State and other schools have few answers

Some research programs funded with federal grants are halted at K-State, officials said this week, though they were short on specifics as information from the federal government has been limited.

The university has made a website to answer questions about a White House freeze on federal grants and loans that came last week. K-State President Richard Linton called the situation “fluid and fast-moving.”

“We are working to find answers and communicate as quickly as we can,” Linton said. “I am proud that leaders across K-State are working hard to address potential impacts and ensure momentum and progress toward our mission.”
