    2025 Mississippi wing Ashton Magee commits to K-State

    K-State men’s basketball finally has its first high school commit for the 2025 class. Mississippi 6’6” wing Ashton Magee made his pledge to Jerome Tang and the Wildcats Wednesday afternoon.

    The senior from South Jones High School in Madison, MS visited K-State this past weekend and was in attendance for the win over Colorado.

    Magee is a late bloomer for the 2025 class. Receiving the majority of his Division 1 offers after the first of January. Offers from USF, New Mexico State, Stetson, Georgia State, Norfolk State, Bethune-Cookman, Monmouth, College of Charleston and Georgia Southern. Magee received his offer from K-State in January. He is yet to receive a star rating from the major recruiting evaluators.

    For his senior season in high school, Magee is averaging 23.5 points per game, 8.3 rebounds and 3.2 blocks while shooting 57 percent from the field and 33 percent from three. He was also named Region 3-5A Most Valuable Player along with All-Region and All-District Team.

    Magee is the second commitment for K-State for the 2025 class. He joins a class of Memphis transfer wing Tyreek Smith who is already on campus and going through practices for K-State.
