USC Trojans head coach Lindsay Gottlieb shouts out to her team during a game against UCLA at Galen Center, Feb. 13, in Los Angeles.

    How sweet it is!

The Kansas State women make the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2002 after an exciting overtime one-point victory over Kentucky. USC beat Mississippi by 37 at home to advance to their second straight Sweet 16.

The biggest storyline in this game is that USC is without JuJu Watkins, the favorite for National Player of the Year, after she tore her ACL in the first quarter of the second-round game. Watkins is one of the best players in women’s college basketball and is averaging 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game.
