McCulloh keeping an open mind on potential Anderson Avenue roundabout

A potential roundabout on Anderson Avenue near the Unger Complex continues to be a hot-button topic.

Mayor Karen McCulloh, who joined Within Reason with Mike Matson on KMAN earlier this month, said she intends to listen to the engineers’ recommendations on how to potentially make the intersection safer.

“The first time I was on the city commission, my final last was to put a roundabout at North Manhattan and Kimball Avenue, and we’ve had two traffic fatalities there,” she said. “The roundabout would have been $1 million cheaper. That’s what all the engineers said. I think we have to listen.”
