The Riley County Police Department made two arrests Thursday, in connection with a robbery and connected shootings on November 30 and December 1 last year.

Delron Tyree Jr, 17, of Topeka was arrested on a warrant for charges of two counts of attempted first-degree murder, criminal use of weapons, criminal discharge of a firearm, and three counts of criminal damage to property. He received no bond for this warrant. Tyree was already confined at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Facility at the time of arrest for a previous arrest. He was arrested for charges of aggravated robbery armed with a dangerous weapon and criminal use of weapons on March 5.

Victor Fuentes Jr, 20, of Compton, CA was also arrested Thursday, for charges of two counts of attempted first-degree murder, criminal use of weapons, criminal discharge of a firearm, and three counts of criminal damage to property. Bond for this warrant was set at $750,000.

Fuentes was also arrested on an additional warrant for the charges of aggravated robbery, contributing to a child’s misconduct and aggravated endangering a child. This was set as a no bond warrant.

Both arrests stem from the robbery and the shootings that took place on November 30 and December 1 in Manhattan. At the time of this report Tyree and Fuentes were both still confined.

The Mercury has previously reported on the robbery and shootings last year, and a Manhattan man’s connection with the incidents.

Clayson Joyce, 22, was arrested in January and faces charges of three counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm, three counts of aggravated battery, seven counts of aggravated child endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and criminal damage to property. He is held on a $1.5 million bond and will appear in court for a preliminary examination April 22.

Across both incidents, four adults were shot and taken to Via Christi Hospital for their injuries. Seven children were also in the residence at the time of the December 1 shooting. RCPD has previously stated the investigations remain active.
