    Staff reports

Rock Creek baseball responded from last week’s split against 6A Junction City in a big way, taking down a pair of ranked opponents in the McPherson Quad on Friday.

The Mustangs (14-5) opened the trip against Iola, who entered the day as the No. 2-ranked team in Kansas 3A. Rock Creek used strong pitching from Ryker Zoeller to lead the way to a 5-1 win.
