    CONSTRUCTION SEASON — Workers for Shilling Construction Co. break down the current asphalt at the northbound on-ramp at Anderson Avenue and Seth Child Road in Manhattan, Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Shilling and Ebert Construction companies closed the on- and off-ramps of the intersection Monday to allow for resurfacing the city’s portion of the ramps. City staff posted on social media that the city is only responsible for the lower one-quarter to one-third of each ramp, while Kansas Department of Transportation oversees the rest.
